BOOK SPOTLIGHTS:
Snow Treasure is an exciting story based on true events of how children smuggled gold past Nazi guards on sleds during the Nazi occupation of Norway during World War II.
And finally, I just want to spotlight the books about Carl Larsson, a Swedish painter who captured in paintings the home and family life of Sweden. I'm sure it especially appealed to me because I have pure Swedish ancestry. But even if you're not Swedish, I think you'll love the simplicity and sweetness of his family. It also helps children begin to understand what inspires an artist and how he captures what he sees and feels in ordinary things. I loved all three of the books: Home, Family and Farm.
