I'm reading another life of Christ--I especially enjoy that in Month 6--and look at the difference in meaning between these two phrases, of when the angels came to the shepherds in the fields:
The popular one in our KJV is "...and on earth, peace, good will toward men." But in this old book, it gives an earlier translation: "and on earth peace among men of good will." Does the difference mean anything to you? Art credit: The Angel Appearing to the Shepherds by Thomas Cole
