Internet Archive just announced that waitlists have been suspended until at least June 30, and perhaps beyond. So all those yellow diamond books on the Libraries of Hope website have just been opened up! You still have to borrow the books (i.e., you only get them for 14 days), but there are no longer waiting lists. This includes My Book House and Junior Classics.
Just pick a story and read! It really is that simple. Don't overthink and overplan and try to turn everything into a lesson. Stories are one of nature's simplest and most effective means to learn in childhood.

The new Month 8 books are in the store and are being shipped to all of you subscribers.
Please remember--all of the books we publish are available as free digital reads on our site. Access them quickly by clicking on Forgotten Classics in the app or on the blue Forgotten Classics box at the bottom of every page in the site. But to be honest with you--when I started creating the Forgotten Classics library, the feeling I had was that hard copies of these books needed to be safely secured in homes spread out in many places. There is a reason for every book that is in there. As you purchase these books, you are not only helping us cover our expenses so that we can keep offering all the free resources, but you are preserving stories of freedom, faith, and family that may not be readily accessible in the years ahead. Many of you are worrying about having enough food for your bellies. Having food for your soul is just as important....if not more important. I have a number of series we are working hard to complete and then I feel like the library will be complete and contain what it needs to. We are seeing unimaginable things happening in our world. Be the lighthouse. |
